Violinist Majka Demcak specializes in historically informed performance of the Baroque and Classical eras. Based in Vancouver, she is a member of the Pacific Baroque Orchestra and performs regularly throughout British Columbia and abroad. She has toured with the Vancouver Baroque Trio, is founder and active member of the Gallo Chamber Players, and is a member and muse of the Mount Parnassus Foundation. Her performance credits include appearances at Lincoln Center’s Alice Tully Hall, Gotham Early Music Scene, and The Little OPERA Theatre of New York, as well as a guest performance with Thaleia Ensemble in Madrid, Spain.  She holds a Bachelor’s degree in violin performance from the University of British Columbia and a Master's degree in historically informed Performance from The Juilliard School.
